How to check if the Sony Xperia Z3 is locked or unlocked ?

Hi. I just got a Xperia Z3 form my fiance, but I do not know that the phone is locked or unlocked? Could you please help me to check it.

Just insert any sim card from any other network or carrier. If it doesn't work or you get an error then it is locked. Also fyi try not to post IMEI info. Online thanks.

Open the Dialer App

Then press *#*#7378423#*#*

Then click "Service Info" and press "SIM Lock"

If all the 5 words,ending with "0" means your phone is not carier locked.

Press Back and then press "Configuration"

Under "Rooting Status"

If its "Bootloader unlock allowed : Yes" ,means you have a locked bootloader.

If its "Bootloader unlocked : Yes",means you have an UNlocked bootloader and you can install Custom ROMS(custom firmware)

I bought my z3 compact and i saw that the bootloader unlock is marked yes. Is Normal already came locked or unlocked? Sorry for my English.

That's normal, it means that you can unlock the bootloader if you choose to.

Others 0

Configuration bootloader unlock allowed  says no

Do i need to have phone unlocked.

this means if worldwide unlocked to use with any carrier?

Yes exactly you are free to use any carrier.
