Xperia Z5 headphone jack and water

When rinsing my phone and getting water in the headphone jack sometimes smart connect pops up thinking that a headset has been connected... Is this normal behaviour? Should it be sensitive to water

Short circuit. Looks logical to me. Water just flood the open jack which is not protected..

It's a normal behaviour because of water going through logical circuits inside jack 3.5mm !

Give the time to let dry it and should be definitively recovered

Thanks for your replies... If I insert tissue and dry it out straight away don't have any problems it's when I leave the water In the headphone jack
