Cannot disable spelling correction + no options

Hi all,

I just got this sony xperia S.

However, even though the "Spelling correction" box is unchecked, my typing still gets corrected.
Also, when I check the box and try to set up some options for the correction, the next screen is blank, no options.

I understand that I could set the phone to autocorrect in two languages?

go to settings > launguage & input > tap on Xperia keyboard > text input settings > my words and also word suggestion

settings > language & input > tap on xperia keyboard > personalization guide

anytime
