Cannot turn off predictive texting

have a pro ics 587

I think it is since the 587 upgrade

I keep going to settings and making sure all the automatic texting functions are off - and they are!

Its particularly noticable in Google Talk

and a big nuissance

Can anyone please help?

I go to "settings" and then "Language & Input"

And I make sure "auto-replace" Auto-capitalisation, auto punctuate are all turned off - (No check in box)

Incidently Chinese keyboard and xperia japanes keyboard and xperia keyboard are all checked and there is no way to turn them off. And I think these three are all pre-installed.

Bought the phone on ebay - new

Google voice typing is off

persian soft keyboard is off (I think that is here because of something I installed)

at the same time as the predictive text appeared my google talk app stopped accepting a return as a way of sending the message, rather i now have to press an arrow on the right to send the message (This is no problem, just included in case it assists in knowing what is wrong).

If unmarking the check-box for these actions doesn't sort it out, like they should, it sounds like it would be wise to try performing a repair of your phone's software.
