difference between update service and flashtool

If i update a firmware n my xperia device via pc cpmapnion or via update service,and if i flash the same firmware through flashtool to my xperia device,does it makes any difference at all.

i am having some problrms with  my xperia sola ,i have tried to repair it via pc companion and upadte service but it was of no use,could flashing my phone with flashtool help me??

i have contacted to the sevice centre ,the service personnel said to me thet he will flash it with flashtool and problems will be gone but he is on leve till 4 jan.

so plz tell me thet if there is any difference in flashing with flashtool and running update sevice.

that doesn't seem right, a Sony employee wouldn't suggest that you use flashtool, first PCC and SUS will do the same, update and reinstall the current software, flashtool allow you to do the same and to install previous firmware versions or firmwares from other countries.  can you elaborate on  your issues

I am having these problems-

1 android os consume 80 percent of battery when phone is left idle.

2.when i try to turn it off the phone restarts while turning off.

the service personnel told me tgat there is a difference when you update the software and we flash it with flashtool.

This seemed strange to me. Now what should i do???

repair your phone with SUS or PCC > do NOT install any app > test your phone if the problem persists if it does take it back to the store and get it replaced or contact Sony customer service

I have tried software repiar but it was of no use, now what to do.

service personal is asking to flash my phone .

i want to ask that if there is a special software for service centre or they use update service or pc companion for updating the phone software???

Okk i will contact sony.

i want tobask that how the software is updated in service centre because i will not leave my phone there.

I will ask him to uodate phone in front of me

so can you give me idea that how they people update software??
