Lost Backup with Android Gingerbread upgrade

Hi all,

I got the new Anfdroid Gingerbread upgrade last night, but have only just found out that the the back up I ran using the the SE app will not be accessible after running the upgrade!!

Can anyone please let me know if any of the apps on android market can pick up my backup and restore it to my X10, as I've basically now got a phone with no contacts, apps, messages or any data what so ever on it!!! HEEEEELLLLPPP!!!

Uliwooly, Tried exactly what you said, success!!!, I have now got my old phone back , but running "Gingerbread", hopefully for the better, Thankyou very much indeed for your help here, I was ready to buy an Iphone but now will continue with SE for a while, thank you very much!!!

Please help! I've done everything you have recommended and still no joy. I try to install the backup and restore and it just says "application not installed". Any thoughts?

download the file directly to your X10

I did that. Says it's installing but then just say's it isn't installed.

once you installed it, does it give you the option to open it?

The problem I have is that the backup and restore app won't install at all.
