Lost Backup with Android Gingerbread upgrade

Hi all,

I got the new Anfdroid Gingerbread upgrade last night, but have only just found out that the the back up I ran using the the SE app will not be accessible after running the upgrade!!

Can anyone please let me know if any of the apps on android market can pick up my backup and restore it to my X10, as I've basically now got a phone with no contacts, apps, messages or any data what so ever on it!!! HEEEEELLLLPPP!!!

Download "Apk Manager"

https://market.android.com/details?id=com.magmamobile.app.apkinstaller&hl=en

open "Apk Manager" and voila select the apps that you wan't to install

Hi,

I rooted my Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc which was on ICS OS. Before rooting I used the SE Back and Restore application to take my backup. After the root was completed, I copied the apk file for the same from my PC to the root SD folder (also tried updating the build.prop file and deskclock.apk as was mentioned in some other forum).

Now when I try to install the backup and restore apk file, it just doesnot install. Screenshot attached. I really need help in restoring all my data.

tried Backup and restore.apk from three different links but it does not install. Is there any other way I can restore/read data from the backup file (*.sbf)

hii...i tried everything like downloading backup and restore apk file from 4shared.com and m.sonyericsson.com/backup but the problem is this apk file is not getting installed i.e there is no option of 'OPEN' . Please help me !
