Hi,
I want to root my Xperia S to use Titanium Backup.
I upgraded it to ICS 4.0.4 a week ago using sony update tool.
I have unlocked the bootloaded by sony offcial method.
It wiped my phone clean (I didn't expect that but luckly I had backup of most of the stuff)
Now I saw some instructions on rooting the Xperia S but all of them say that it will wipe the phone clean again.
Example:
http://www.android.gs/root-sony-xperia-s-official-ics-6-1-a-0-452-rom/
Is there a way to root the device now that the boot loader is unlocked without wiping it?

As you have unlocked your bootloader then you know how to use fastboot and open a command prompt from there so
Download this from my drive
https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B-yM_qnM8ZPRQlB4N2t2X1lQUGM it's a pre-rooted ICS img -
copy the file to the fastboot folder on C: Drive then with the phone disconnected and switched off type in the command prompt window
fastboot flash system XperiaS_prerooted_ICS_452.img and press enter.
And then you'll need to press and hold the volume up button and connect the usb cable to your phone
this will then start the process of rooting your phone
here you go

It may wipe things like contacts but anything on your say SD card like music photo's etc won't be affected - contacts settings wallpaper sms etc may be wiped but i've never rooted a phone when there has been documents on the phone - I've only ever done clean flashes and roots
backup - but sorry for 're asking I need to flush my phone with a pre rooted omg of ics right?
