Unable to download apps from google play store and web browser after upgrading to ICS

Hello,

I bought Sony xperia S. I used few hours with gingerboard OS. In using gingerboard I downloaded few application from Google Play Store. But after upgrading to ICS. I am unable to download apps from Google Play Store as wel as through web browser.

Kindly help me in this issue.

I used factory reset also but no use.

It is showing downloading but cant processed further, after half an hour it is showing unable to download and some error code.

I had wap connection hence i m unable to download apps from google play store but now its working fine. Its good phone m not getting any problem after upgrading ICS.

This Problem occurs when you are using 2G/GPRS(edge) to update apps in google play or trying to download files(*.mp3,*.apk) from default browser.If you use 3G/wifi,it works fine.

Earlier,i had lg mobile which had an option "use only wi-fi for data above 20MB" and i had to unmark it for downloading anything through 2G/GPRS/Edge network.In this phone (sony ericcson live with walkman),i can't find that option.

I think this phone by default only uses wi-fi/3G for downloading apps/files.

Hey janashan,

In  sony xperia S doesnt allow WAP it allows mobile GPRS.

I was using WAP to download apps but now I am using mobile GPRS for download it working fine
