Xperia P not Charging

My Xperia P was on charge when it just stopped charging for no apparent reason, now i have low battery. Any help

Hold down on/off button and volume up until you feel a vibration (phone will restart)

Hold down on/off button and volume up until you feel 3 vibrations (phone will turn off)

Now try again to charge the phone for a couple of hours

Any better?
