Can anybody tell me how I can set my new laptop to go to sleep AND wake up correctly?

Currently you can shut the lid and something happens as when you open it it's black and you can't get anything to be shown? This is really annoying as I'm moving around and using it with customers - I'm finding I'm having to appologise for the laptop too many times!

Are there also any guides to what services and components can be removed to get some more perfomance out of this as it just appears slow next to my 3 year old compaq!

Thanks for any help - I would love to get this thing working as good as it looks!

Hey dude, noticed you have the same vaio as me. Mine came with a T5600 1.86ghz processor when the spec sheet says it should have came with a T7600 2ghz processor. Is yours the same?

Is there a bios update for the AR21S to as I'm having the same problems as stated above :(, and it's really frustrating 😕

There is not a BIOS update listed for the AR21S but there is for the AR31S ..

It would be your choice if you install this BIOS update..

That's v.strange, mines got a t7200(expected) @ 2.0 Ghz

I think the FE31Z comes with the T5600 and the FE41Z with the T7200.

As far as I can see, this is the only difference apart from Vista.

There is not a BIOS update listed for the AR21S but there is for the AR31S ..

It would be your choice if you install this BIOS update..

Shouldn't be a problem to install it, as there isn't relly a difference between the 2 laptops, except the hard drve volume 😮
I'll give it a try after I went to bed.

I put the latest BIOS on, but whenever my FE41Z comes out of standby Vista has switched to 1024x768 resolution. Does anyone know a solution for this annoying habit please?
