I suggest that you raise this with your local support team to proceed with this in the best possible way.

In that case you should contact the seller as they should be able to send in the phone to a repair center. This to rule out if the crack is covered by warranty.
That is good news......with regards to the phone still being wateproof after the screen being changed, unless the person who repaired the phone conducted a vacuum test on the phone there is no sure fire way to know. In my opinion it would not be worth the risk of inflicting serious damage by testing it underwater, you could however get in touch with the repairer & ask & enquire about any form of guarantee if things did go wrong :smileysmileywink:
You could trawl thru the internet or thru the Sony forum & see a myriad of 'reasons' or 'hypothesis' of the reasons......& not only Sony phones, all manufacturers.......but mostly the newer, larger, thinner style of phones.....
