Notification bar displaying by itself

Hi, can you please help me? My Z3 Compact has just started displaying the notification bar by itself, I am trying to use my phone, type messages etc and it just keeps coming down which is making the phone unusable. I've  tried re starting it, soft reset and safe mode, it just keeps doing it! Can anyone help please?

There were similar threads in the past where users had small cracks in the top part of the screen. Can you check for that?

Hi, I have checked and can't see any cracks at all, that would make sense but can't see any.

It's driving me mad!!

It seems to be when using the keyboard that causes the problem mainly.

What happens if you test the touch screen, are you getting random touches.

Menu > Settings > About Phone > Diagnostics > Device Test > Touch screen

Can you perhaps try to perform a software repair using PC Companion ?

I agree with @alexdon on this one, generally hardware faults will show on screen when performing a test. let us know how you get on with the software repair.

My notification bar keeps popping down constantly without me touching it and it's making using my phone impossible. It's mainly when I'm typing. What can I do to stop this. It's only been the last day it's started doing it. Iv not added anything new in ages or dropped it and iv tried the diagnostic tests.
