Z3 compact back and home button not working after recent update

My back and home button not working now after. 5. 1.1 update.

I have the same issue, along with someone else i know, and the issue occured after the update to 6.0.1

Same problem for me. Buttons and notifications not working after last update. I've also tried to flash other firmwares but still not working at all.

I'm sorry to hear that.

In case the touch screen doesn't work properly, first make sure it's clean and if you have any screen protector on it, try to remove this.

If this doesn't help, try doing a software repair using Xperia Companion which will reinstall the phones firmware.

In case the touch screen still doesn't work properly, the phone needs to be sent to an authorized service centre for repairs. For more information on how to submit your phone for repairs and where, please contact your Local support.

Having exact same issue. 

First the top menu bar became unresponsive and now the bottom menu, (back/home) buttons aren't responding.

It's clearly nothing to do with faulty screens and a software thing.

Safemode makes no difference.

I had the same problem since i updated this morning, the back, home and menu butoon not working, not is screen or touch problem because when the phone is locked can unlock, start the camera and use the microphone to start google, but when unlock it those burrons not work,i tried to restore usin Xperia Companion but still the same. Please Sony help with these trouble I need to use my phone!!

Yeah echo all that. Screen responds to touch on lock screen in that area like you say but when unlocked the home back buttons don't work at all. It's made the phone unusable basically.

Sony either need to update pdq or roll this back.

So I've tried a full factory reset which didn't fix the issue but I have found that putting the phone in glove mode makes it at least usable.

Is there someone that currently has the issue and has received recently (in my case few days ago) a notification about the availability of the new version of the "update center"?
