How to disconnect PS4 controller from Xperia remote play?

Hi!

I connected my dualshock 4 controller yesterday to the Xperia to try out remote play. And now every time I press the ps4 button on the controller it starts up the xperia and not the ps4. This is a problem for me since I only have one controller.

How can I disable the connection between my DS4 and the Xperia?

Have you tried turning off Bluetooth or unpairing the device from Bluetooth options

I was having the same problem, here is how I solved it:

You need a second dualshock 4 controller that is already working with PS4... (yea I know..)

go to ps4 - settings - devices - bluetooth devices

you'll see the DS4 you are using as logged in, the other DS4, such as the one that is stuck with Xperia, will show up as disconnected.

Delete the other DS4, then press share  + PS botton on the DS4 for six seconds, the white bar on the DS4 should blink rapidly.

Rediscover bluetooth devices on your PS4, you should see the newly discovered DS4, connect.

I tried and this wasn't working for me but I found the original usb cable that connects to the DualShock 4 and it was able to reconnect then. I also unenabled remote play and turned off the bluetooth on my phone to ensure no other interference. Hope this helps!

Just sorted the same issue. Plugged in the USB cable to the controller to control the console. This seemed to re-register the controller without having to sync it at all.

All we did was plug the PS4 remote directly into the PS4 instead of using bluetooth.  When you do this it disconnects from Xperia and reconnects to the PS4 automatically.  This has worked for us every time.
