Hi,
I want to root my Xperia S to use Titanium Backup.
I upgraded it to ICS 4.0.4 a week ago using sony update tool.
I have unlocked the bootloaded by sony offcial method.
It wiped my phone clean (I didn't expect that but luckly I had backup of most of the stuff)
Now I saw some instructions on rooting the Xperia S but all of them say that it will wipe the phone clean again.
Example:

Is there a way to root the device now that the boot loader is unlocked without wiping it?

unrelated topic, if you have some time please check this thread
Seeing as you have an unlocked bootloader why not flash a custom kernel which is already pre rooted ?
We can also have rooting on locked bootloader. I could find 2 methods . One is short and other is long.http://www.androidust.com/root-xperia-s-with-locked-bootloader-new-method/

thanx dude
it does work... it says NOT FOUND Error 404... can you give me the new link please??? i'm in a big trouble if a don't find a system.img for ICS. :s
A system image is different from a rooted image if it's a system image you need then you'll be after a FTF file for use with flashtool - Here's the UK .453 ICS ftf file https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B-yM_qnM8ZPRRy1xV1A5X2xYXzA
